Crafting it Forward in 2014

A short while back, I answered Terry's call for 5 people willing to sign up to "craft it forward".

And I received a beautiful candle mat from her...pictured here front, then back. Isn't it lovely!

And now it is my turn to Craft it Forward... here are The Rules:

1.     I will make a crafty gift for the first five (5) people to comment on this post and say they would like to be a part of my Craft it Forward. The gift you will receive is a small surprise, and will arrive to you anytime within the next nine (9) months.

2.     To sign up to take part in Craft it Forward, you must commit to doing the same. Once you receive your item from me, post this (or something similar) on your blog so others can get involved. You then make them something, and Craft it Forward goes on and on!

3.     Leave a comment on this post telling me that you wish to participate. Please do NOT leave your mailing address in this comment, but rather, be sure I have a way to contact you so you can provide me with your snail mail address then, and I can get your crafty gift off to you as smoothly as possible.

Thank you to Terry for the fun I had receiving her cute little parcel, and thank you to those willing to commit!

Smalls SAL - February 26

Well, behind again. I was working on my I heart heart Gallifrey for February, but really got derailed this last 1 1/2 weeks with the illness of my mother. I am about 2/3rds finished...will get caught up soon.

In the meantime, please accept this other stitchery in its place. I worked on a project for the Don't Let the Door Stop You blog hop, and created a small stitchery with that...also from Vicky Ramage (Comastitch). Pattern available for purchase on Craftsy. I used the stitchery on a door stop. I just love gingham, and fell in love with this pattern.

A Difficult Goodbye...

It is with difficulty and with sadness that I announce the passing of my mother yesterday morning.

I have thoroughly enjoyed helping to care for her in the nursing home where she spent the last two years of her life. The staff were very loving and of immense support all during this time.

Thank your Lord for giving this time to me...I know that not everyone gets it, and I am very grateful for the love and nurturing I was able to give her during such a dependant stage in her life.

We are all well here, and loving and supporting each other. Thank you for understanding my absence at this time.

Love to you all, be back soon.

A Poem

received, I do not know the author, but it is very appropriate for me today.

I was regretting the past

And fearing the future.
Suddenly my Lord was speaking:
“My NAME is I AM.”
He paused.
I waited.  He continued.

“When you live in the past with its mistakes
and regrets, it is hard.  I am not there.”
My name is not…I WAS.

“When you live in the future, with its problems
and fears, it is hard.  I am not there.”
My name is not…I WILL BE.

“When you live in this moment…
It is not hard.  I am here.
My name is…I AM.”
